Dear Womanpreneur:

Do you enjoy being in business?

If you are trying to make money in your business venture, either full or part time, ask yourself these questions:

  • Do you sometimes (or often) feel guilty for neglecting your husband and family?
  • Does your health suffer?
  • Is your lifestyle not the way you'd like it to be?
  • Do you work long hours every day because you feel that is why you have a business - to work?
  • Do you have no time to do what you really like to do because you're focusing only on executing things you think need to be done?
  • Would you like to work fewer hours but are overwhelmed and swamped by too many projects?
  • You don't even know what biz-life balance is anymore?

If you answer "yes" to any of these questions, close your eyes and imagine a different kind of life...

...You wake up every morning and can't wait to start your work.

...Everything you do in and on your business is what you enjoy doing, because it's your passion.

...You still have time to do other things and activities you enjoy - having the "me" time, or hanging out with your friends and family.

...You find a healthy balance between work and private life.

...You found the ideal business structure that gives you the freedom to choose your projects.

...You know when to take a break and care for yourself before burning out.

This is the kind of life you'd like to have, right? Well, you CAN!

(...) The role of work has changed throughout the world due to economic conditions and social demands. Originally, work was a matter of necessity and survival. Throughout the years, the role of "work" has evolved and the composition of the workforce has changed. Today, work still is a necessity but it should be a source of ??personal satisfaction as well. (...) Many people think of work-life balance only in the framework of what the company does for the individual. However, work-life balance is a two prong approach. The other prong of work-life balance, which many individuals overlook, relates to what individuals do for themselves.According to Jim Bird, CEO of Worklifebalance.com, "Work-life balance is meaningful achievement and enjoyment in everyday life." (...)(From www.worklifebalance.com)

Like many other solopreneurs, you probably started your own business because you wanted to do something profitable and enjoyable at the same time, while maintaining a healthy biz-life balance. But now you realize that running your own business is all-consuming, leaving very little time to enjoy your life.

Think about it: How would you rate your level of biz-life quality? Do you feel it's a nice healthy balance that gives you enough time and energy to enjoy life and family?

If not, it is high time to look at what you really want in your life. Is it working hard and having a lot of money but no time to spend it? We don't have to work hard to be recognized in the world. What is more important is to find a good balance between work and personal life.

In order to get more quality time out of your day, look at the stumbling blocks on your path. Do you recognize any of them?

- Not knowing what your real passion is in business?
- Not being organized, disciplined, or knowing how to manage your time more efficiently?
- Working too hard, trying to get everything done?
- Focusing on making more money instead of enjoying life?
- Not knowing what measures to implement to make your business run smoother?
- Trying to do it all yourself?
- Not taking time to prioritize or make action plans?
- No enjoyment of your daily work?

STOP!

The first thing you need to do is determine what you really want out of your life and business. This is how you can start the ball rolling:

The Importance of Value and Priorities

I have to admit, for the longest time I couldn't understand the importance of values and priorities. For me, family has always been at the top of the list but I was still working like crazy thinking that ONE DAY I will have time for my family.

Once you really know what is important to you and what you aspire to achieve in your life, then you can start building the infrastructure around that and making the right decisions . Don't wait for that "ONE DAY" to come - get the ball rolling TODAY. Start by browsing my website, signing up for my free audio, or contacting me for a breakthrough session.

Don't wait till life has gotten the upper hand again.

Don't forget: you only have one life and you don't want to think back and regret the things you should have done or realize how unimportant money is if you are not happy.

What is your time worth?

I'd love to hear from you.

PS: It is possible to have a great business lifestyle! Maybe you are not making a six-figure profit (not in the first few years anyway), but you enjoy your work, you love what you do, you get things done, and you can take time off for yourself.
